Princess Cristina ordered to testify in Noos Institute ( http://noosinstitute.com/ ) corruption scandal against her husband, Iaki urdangarin
The Inaki Urdangarin case in Spain has named a princess a suspect.
The youngest daughter of Spain's King Juan Carlos and Urdangarin's wife is ordered to testify on April 27 about her alleged role in the Noos Institute corruption scandal.
According to Live Trading News April 3, the judge wants more information from Princess Cristina because he believes she gave her consent by allowing the Noos Institute ( http://noosinstitute.com/ ) to use her name and position in order to win contracts.
Urdangarin, who is suspected to have embezzled $6.4 million in funds through the Noos Institute ( http://noosinstitute.com/ ) with partner Diego Torres, claims his wife knew "absolutely nothing" about the charitable foundation.
Judge Jose Castro said that closing the case without hearing what the princess has to say would "discredit the maxim that justice is equal for all."
The announcement came after Torres submitted a series of emails that came from his computer.
He claimed that King Juan Carlos not only knew about the business affairs his son-in-law was involved in, but approved them.
Urdangarin reportedly tried having the emails be tossed out of the corruption case, but the judge rejected his request. Urdangarin chaired the Noos Institute from 2004 to 2006.
This definitely paints a tainted picture of Spain's royal family.
Princess Cristina is the eleventh in line to the Spanish throne.
Spain and the world will be listening when the princess takes the stand at the end of the month.
