Association of professional associations of nurses , midwives and nurses Slovenia encourages responsible decision-makers relation to patients and highlights the urgent need to expand the space codecision partners in resolving the crisis in health care.

Nurses and Midwives Association of Slovenia - Association of professional associations of nurses, midwives and nurses Slovenia (Chamber - Alliance) is event-driven healthcare is concerned about the irresponsible attitude of politicians and other decision-makers that the situation on the resignation of the Minister of Health to take advantage of their mutual political calculation ignoring the plight of the patients in the present and future health care system.

The fact that the health department for several years ( and not just at this moment ) is without proper management , so that patients do not have their allies in decision makers is reflected in every step and painful impact on the lives and health of citizens , as we are moving away from high-quality, safe, effective , humane , accessible to all public health. Decision-makers in health care, therefore, urge their influence and power is not measured in austerity measures at the expense of patients (and also a very strong nursing staff ), but the activities and decisions that will contribute to sustainable healthcare system. This should be based on solidarity, reciprocity and fairness and be directed to the preservation of health, prevention and early detection of disease, proper treatment, medical and midwifery care and rehabilitation.

Citizens - including many patients and their families deserve responsive health as well as general policy and politics. We need reforms that focus on people and where there are no space for the benefit of the privileged groups so far, so it is essential to expand the space codecision partners.
The profession of Nursing and Midwifery wants to be directly involved in the reform process and to contribute to the functioning of the health care system, which is heavily involved . Employees in the field of Nursing and Midwifery care and we are ready, trained, we know we want to work together for the good of citizens and the benefit of patients.

We encourage the Government to adopt a professional group of Nursing and Midwifery equivalent to stakeholders in the healthcare system, as they will both allow the full and true reform processes.

Therefore, the Chamber - Federation of key decision makers and stakeholders in health policy (Prime Minister, the President of the country, the Director of the Health Insurance Institute , the Director NIJZ, former Minister of Health and several civil associations sent a document positions of the Chamber - Association of topical issues in the field of health care and proposals to address the crisis that you can put in annexes.
