'Putin on the Ritz!'

This week while all the hullabaloo between Washington and the Southern US-Mexico Border was ongoing there was a side note, albeit in brief, in the news, with all things Cliven D. Bundy & The Bundy Ranch Faithful.

It was made apparent that both state and federal authorities, more or less, were in agreement that rancher Cliven Bundy had to own up to armed actions taken against Bureau of Land Management Agents and other federal authorities who were trying to collect some of his cattle for back dated, unpaid grazing fees (taxes), which led to the now famed standoff between BLM and armed militia members earlier this year.

My good friends and colleagues over at MSNBC led the glee chorus charge against Cliven Bundy this week calling him a 'freeloader' a 'tax cheat' and a 'welfare cowboy'. The United States Congressional Representative for that area ,and Mr. Bundy's most immediate representative in Washington, D.C., Steven Horsford, Democrat, chimed in himself on the matter with comments such as these: http://youtu.be/5vahO6jkae4 (Please Note: This is a compilation of the Congressman's overall opinions on the matter not just a comment.)

Don't Humiliate Them!

The more Congressman Horsford talks the more I am reminded of the epic comedy, "Young Frankenstein" and the moment between Gene Wilder, as Dr. Frankenstein, and the late Peter Boyle, as the Monster, when they were performing, "Putin on the Ritz!" The routine went awry and Gene Wilder told an audience in attendance, "Please, for safety's sake I beg of you don't humiliate him!"

I have long forewarned both the powers that be in Washington and Carson City, NV. U.S.A., and those within eye shod of this #blogpost when it comes to Bundy Ranch and the 'armed separatists' and 'militia groups'. PLEASE, for safety's sake I beg of you don't humiliate them!

Unfortunately though folks the likes of Congressman Horsford, who is supposed to be representing Bundy and all his constituents in Bunkerville, NV. U.S.A. in Washington, has instead seen fit to constantly humiliate these people and the humiliation has been and will ultimately be to the peril, to the detriment of 'safety's sake'. Period. Full stop.

I have written. I have blogged. I have texted. I have facsimile. I have damn near sent up smoke signals to this man, Congressman Horsford, and to others in Carson City and in Washington, D.C. Beseeching them therefore by the bowels of Christ to leave these people be. Leave them alone. Let this situation die down. They will get tired. Bored. Etc. And they will go home.

Yet, still and all Congressman Horsford and others continue to escalate this situation to deadly depths. We are only weeks removed from a horrific incident in Las Vegas when two young people deliberately killed two Las Vegas police officers in a CiCi's Pizza Place, just setting down to eat lunch. Can you just imagine? One moment your setting peacefully and quietly with a friend and colleague having a bite to eat and the next minute you're dead. Unbelievable!

The young people in question gunned both men down in cold blood and killed an innocent bystander before an in brief shootout with police in a Wal-Mart Store ended the whole thing. They were Bundy Ranch Faithful. Granted they were removed from the ranch by Mr. Bundy and his family for to extreme attitudes and behaviors while on the ranch ,they were, none the less, a part of the standoff out at Bundy Ranch.

They were, in their own minds, humiliated. Pushed by the likes of Jon Ralston and his "Ralston Reports" program with the constant refrains of 'neo-Nazis', 'armed separatists', 'TEA Party Militia', etc.

And so it goes....

It Will Get Worse Before It Gets Better

What Ralston, Horsford and my friends over at MSNBC don't get, don't understand nor, it would seem, care to, anyways, get is that their efforts, their futility will fuel a fire that will make Waco, TX. and Jonestown look like a Sunday Social if they keep it up. They will and all those who egg these people on will get good men and women in the law enforcement community killed. Bottom line.

This situation will get worse before it ever gets better.

They must shut up. I am telling you, and I write and speak from experience when I do, I AM TELLING YOU to STOP, STOP NOW while you still can. Good men and women in law enforcement have been killed for far worse and for far less than this! All of us, all of us now, will come out on the loosing end of this issue. The men, the women and even the children of age who are still out there, at the Bundy Ranch, are sacked in, sacked out and ready for WAR with the BLM, the FBI, the ATF, the NBI, state and local authorities. They are ready. Armed to the teeth. Dug in and dug out. They are not moving. Will not be moved and will not allow or permit Cliven D. Bundy to be taken by peace or by force by anyone or anything SAVE GOD HIMSELF. Period. Full stop.

And as long as Horsford speaks against his constituent ,Cliven Bundy, instead of mediating the issue between he and the BLM then Horsford himself has no one to blame but himself for this problem. Because his talk is nothing more than a demonstration in a lack of cooperation and communication between all parties concerned. Such rhetoric is not germane to a peaceful end here, instead it only serves to destroy rather than to create a dialogue between adults.

There is still time to mediate to legislate and convene A PEACEFUL settlement of all affairs. But far cooler heads must prevail and there must, above all else, be some adults in the room to do it.
